We are pleased to welcome Aniket Ghatak, CFA, to our investment team as an Investment Associate.Aniket will provide investment research and analysis that supports portfolio construction and implementation for our clients. His work will span a wide range of investment analysis and portfolio advice, covering both managed funds and private markets research. Over time we expect he will also develop and lead client relationships.
Aniket brings a strong mix of institutional consulting and private wealth experience, along with strong manager research insights. He will add capacity and rigour to our research as our client base continues to grow.At Helm Wealth Advisory, Aniket supported portfolio construction, asset allocation and rebalancing across a large book of private client and charitable portfolios.
He co-led a full manager research and due diligence review across global and New Zealand equities and fixed income, which narrowed more than 150 managers to a final line-up of 12. He also co-led a redesign of the firm's model portfolio strategic asset allocations and rebuilt its operational due diligence framework.At Russell Investments, Aniket was lead analyst for more than 30 institutional and OCIO clients. He helped lead consultants develop client investment beliefs, SIPOs and governance policies, and used capital market assumptions and quantitative modelling to shape strategic asset allocations for board decisions.
He also built bespoke reporting for insurers and pension schemes, and presented to client boards on portfolio performance and ESG and climate topics.Aniket began his career in finance at Toll Global Express. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the University of Auckland, is a CFA Charterholder and completed the CFA Society UK Certificate in Impact Investing in 2026. He was a recipient of the Prime Minister's Scholarship for Asia. Outside work he is a keen cricketer and has captained the Hibiscus Coast team.
